Tips&Tricks // Waking up at 6 a.m.
November 30, 2018
Hello, lovelies!
I imagine you all clicked on this post really late at night with an ambition that you are going to be super productive tomorrow morning and wake up early. Or you may just be bored beyond words and want to read something funny. Either way, I wish you luck waking up tomorrow morning!
Here I am, after a week of being lazy, giving you tips about how not to be lazy. What an ironic introduction! Haha.
I will bore you no longer with this pathetic small-talk (excuse my Oblivion references) and give you some tips and tricks on how to get yourself out of bed when you can't even open up your eyes and all you want to do is curse the world and sleep for another 5 minutes.
Well, to start off with an obvious one, go to sleep early. That new Riverdale episode won't disappear if you watch it the day after. Many people really tend to take this tip for granted. Honestly, you will feel like a couch potato the whole day if you sleep for 4 hours at night. And don't even mention pulling an all-nighter every night, my dear! If you really can't fall asleep earlier than usual, then try turning off all electronics (including your favourite Instagram scrolling habit) one hour before sleep. Now you may be wondering "What am I supposed to do for the next 60 minutes? Act like a caveman?". Well of course not. Be creative, write something in your diary, grab a book, sing your heart out (or maybe not)... do whatever you feel like doing and get to bed. Let's presume that you magically managed to fall asleep at 10 p.m. Now 8 long hours of good sleep await. Don't sleep in a room that is too cold, that could be the cause of nightmares. And then comes the worst moment of your life - the alarm clock goes off at 6. Your grumpy little self wants turns it off and remembers that this is the morning for a change. To make yourself feel more refreshed put a glass of water near your bed and drink it whole in the morning. I would also recommend turning on some music that makes you feel like dancing. Don't push yourself too hard and try to jump out of bed like Sims do, that would cause a severe headache. Stretch yourself first and then slowly remove the sheets and get up. There you have it, you are on your feet. Congrats! To prevent yourself from jumping back into bed, change from your pajamas right away. When you are in your school uniform/suit/whatever you will feel more like getting out of the house (this also applies to gym clothing. People feel more like exercising when they are in their right gear). If you feel like it, maybe writing a to-do list that you can stick to is a good idea. I always like to make some tea in the morning, but coffee is also a good option. Avoid energy drinks and soda cans, they are full of sugar that leads to weight gaining and bad health. When you wake up early, you have more time to prepare an awesome breakfast (instead of a half-roasted tost in your mouth when you are running to make it to school/work on time). Then, you can start your amazing day with a big smile on your face feeling amazing.
I hope this little text helped you create a habit of waking up early. Good luck tomorrow and make sure to leave me a comment in the comment section down below. I really want to hear about your morning habits. Do you perhaps have a routine that you stick to? I would love to hear that! See you in the next post, bye!

Definitely some great tips in here! I have to get up early every morning for work but when I first started, I thought I could still stay up as late as I used to. Going to bed early is just a must sometimes!
