Hello, lovelies! 

Today I have prepared a very special post! This will be the first blog post in my "Guide to Aesthetics" series. The first aesthetic that I wanted to introduce you to is very close to my heart, dark academia.

- Introduction to dark academia - 

Dark academia is an aesthetic that romanticizes poetry, academic studies, beauty, greek mythology, foggy glasses, and turtleneck sweaters. Mosty, it is young people dressing as old people, but with a mysterious and fantasizing twist. 

Dark academics love studying many different topics, but the most popular ones are literature and artistic studies. However, even you are not studying literature or anything artsy, you can still be a part of this community. The only thing you need is a passion for pursuing knowledge and an open heart to accept the beauty in this world. Dark academics run on tea, coffee, and other hot beverages that help them study into the late night's hours without getting tired. 

Secret societies, old mesmerizing buildings, and dried flowers pressed between pages of a book by Oscar Wilde are what summarizes dark academia to its core. Dark academia is about studying, but it is also about love, art, passion, and dreams lost in the billions of stars. 

A dark academic will always carry a book, hair in a mess but they still somehow pull it off almost perfectly and with a distant look in their eyes. Dark academics can read any genre, but they prefer classics, romance, and historical settings. If the book has a secret society in it, a dark academic surely has at least a dozen copies of it already.
